year of treating a sire on my face, I finally went to see a doctor and my monogram came back abnormal and my face, I developed a basal cell carcinoma. To get all the cancerous cell's out it was done by shaving layer by layer. On the face it is pretty dramatic because you can't cover the wound up for at least a week. You really don't want to go out in public because it is very noticeable. After you have it done you will be thankful and relieved that at least you can pray that hopefully they got all of the cancer cells and they won't come back again. I have been discussing my medical condition with Dr. Roundy who has his own chiropractic practice. I recently developed pins and needles radiating down left arms and fingers. He explained to me that their could be reprocussions if not in the hands of a chiropractor which is informed of all your medical complications before he begins to lay his hands on you. You may actually be making your condition worse instead of better. In his opinion, he explained that I should be seeing an Atlas chirogenic chiropractor and there is a difference. I am going to do a little more research on this and will update my post in the next couple of days. I am finding a lot of information on this subject matter and try to consolidate it into a short brief explanation which will be in my next post. Since the procedure is permanent and deals with burning of the nerves located in the Lumbar region of the spine, It makes me wonder if there might not be another solution. When I investigated this procedure a little more, I find myself reluctant to go through with it. Recently, I spoke with Orthopedic doctors and Endocrinologist which have offered up additional support to find a better way to counter act the pain in the lower SI joints which are fractured bilaterally due to the instrumentation. Several concerns came up prior to the procedure that I had to do a little investigation on my own.
The real question is burning the nerves as opposed to having the lower rods removed which makes more sense in the long run. As we get older, especially women who are post menopausal some develop a condition known as osteoporosis. A thinning of bone density. In most cases as we get older we tend to lose height. If I have Cotrel Instrumentation from T2-Sacrum, the pressure of the rods on my L-Spine is going to cause additional fractures. Especially when I've already been diagnosed with Osteoporosis. So if I have the nerves burned in the L-Spine area what is going to be left to help support muscles in that area of the spine? Good Question? Is there any easy answer? Keep returning to my web site and I'll bring you any and all related information as I continue my research on this subject matter...

Surgery or Swimming Pool?

Nov 12

Univ of Penn has some excellent doctor's.. Normally I felt that doctors' were in the medical field to make money. However after an initial visit yesterday, I finally met a doctor that told me that he is in the business to makeing money off of repairing pelvic fractures. In my particular case though he told me that I would be much better going in a pool and doing some low impact Cardio exercises to mend my broken bones. Dr. Craig Israilite said, get ting in a pool for 3 days a week at least 45 minutes a day and exercising would increase my muscle tone and also increase my bone turnover rate which is pretty low at the present time.

Right now I have a very low turn over rate along with osteoporosis. It isn't that my body doesn't get enough Calcium, I take Calcium with vitamin D everyday but I'm leading a sedentary life style which decreases the bone turnover rate. I was told od a new drug recently passed by the FDA. It is a combination of chemicals that work on depression and also on pain. Go to the health section and type in the drug Cybalta and it will explain how the drug reacts on the brain to help both these issues.

Sincerely
Leanne

"GENE PUTTY " AND FRACTURES

September 16, 2005

I recently came across an article on WEB MD regarding "GENE PUTTY" AND FRACTURES. If you go to WEB MD and type in GENE PUTTY AND FRACTURES, you will find and interesting article about how new research is taking place by creating a putty like substance in a lab and then placing the putty over an existing fracture which then in turn grows new bone and actually heals the fracture. I am currently suffering from a 4 year old non-union pubic ileum fracture which is very painful. I pray every day that someday they will come out with new technology that will help me figure out how I can get this to heal or at least find someone who can help me. Perhaps my prayers have been answered. I recently found a chiropractor who is very up to date on
latest technology. Also, he is very well infromed with regards to chronic
pain, migraines and different methods of treating them. His name is Dr. Darryl Roundy. He is using one of the latest technologies that's recently been passed
by the Food and Drug Administration. My Chiropractor is using basically the same
technology only the LLL unit that my doctor is using on me is called "ERCHONIA"
"Think of it as a Calculator that subtracts pain". This quote is used by "ERCHONIA".
ERCHONIA lasers emit visible coherent light that is applied to the affected area.
Bundles of light energy pass through the dermal layers, and are received within
the cell membraneby specific energy photo adapters. The increase in intra-cellular
energy results in altered cell permeability, and physiological changes occur
through an enzyme cascade to affect several biological processes. Within the
injured muskuloskeltal tissue, low-laser light initiates increased
microcirculation, and enhanced tissue regeneration. The overall effects are
decreased pain and inflammation, and increased range of motion.
If you would like additional information go to yahoo and type in Dr. Darryl
Roundy Chiropractor. I went to a pain management doctor and scheduled to get some anesthetic cortizone injections in right and left lumbar SI joints. Injections are scheduled for this week. My husband had a businees conference to go to and invited me. However even though I was experiencing severe back pain, I took some pain medication and went on the trip. After a few days of meetings and sitting for long periods of time I explained to my husband that I would like to try a swedish massage to relax my muscles. To my surprise, I was able to make it through the entire conference with some pain relief. I know that this was only a temporary solution but for those of you who are contemplating surgery for back pain, I highly recommend you try chiroparctic message, accupuncture or a swedish message to see just how long you get pain relief and then deceide what's best for you....leanne

how to find the right doctor

Okay, you have been just diagnosed with an unfamiliar disease by your family doctor.
